THE CHALLENGE

The Owner /Winemaker’s dedication to sustainability and environmentally friendly farming has greatly influenced the Reiersvlei Wine Cellar brand.

While organic methods are not rigid, no weed-killer, pesticides and fungicides are used on the ground, hence all weed control is carried out manually and/or mechanically.

For the past 5 years, as part of an objective to allow fauna and flora to recover, re-establish and flourish, no livestock farming has been employed.
